Next Year

So 2011 is ending, and 2012 is coming up. This year has been an interesting one, but not in a good way. In a sense, I wished some things didn't happen at all.

Everything Ends

The semester is almost over. We're on our 14th week, the final week before a week of revision, and then our finals start.

Am I ready for the semester to end? Very much. This seems to be my worst semester ever in terms of study. I felt very demotivated, I skipped gym the entire half-year, and, truthfully, I'm glad 2011 is almost over as well.

Much things happened this semester, and in fact, this year, some of which I wish never happened, while some I wished I could have done better. I didn't stick to any resolutions, surprise, surprise. But at least I lived life a little this year. I found a reason to both love and hate engineering, and I realised love is hard to come by if you're simply waiting for a miracle to happen.

It's Unpredictable, That's Why

Zee Avi's Homecoming Party

Image
This post is long overdue, but better late than never. I got the chance to attend my first concert ever-ish, and it's by homegrown-gone-international talent Zee Avi! My friend won two tickets, so she invited me to come along with another two of our friends. We got there early; the ticket did say 8.00 pm. We got through the door at around 8.30pm, the crowd was massive! Since we're free standing, we got the green band. Not important.

What was important was the music. We got to listen to some songs by Reza Salleh (they played his CD before the show started. My friend asked the DJ whose song was playing). Then, by 9.00pm, the opening act, Narmi, came on and played some songs. He also did a cover of a Jason Mraz song. He's good.
His set finished at 10.00pm, and that was when Zee Avi's guitarist came in with a sape! That is like, so cool. One of my friend has a huge crush on him, and why not, he was shredding that sape like it was an electric guitar! Finally, after two hours …

No Christmas For Me

Hey guys. Happy December!

It's always my favourite time of the year! The Christmas spirit fills the air with joy, with people setting up fake Christmas trees everywhere and the start of the commercial Christmas season.

This year, it's not here to stay.
