War Horse

I haven't done a movie review in a long time, mainly because there's not much to be said about most movies. Then War Horse comes along, and I just have to write about this movie. It's a short one, though.

Simply put, it's beautiful. I don't know most of the cast, except for David Thewlis and Tom Hiddleston. Nonetheless, the entire cast was amazing in their respective roles. The scenes are beautiful and spectacular; credits go to the cinematographer. The score is also amazing, composed by John Williams. It helps shape the movie so well. What I love most is the unusual storyline, as well as the amount of light humour scattered around in the movie. It helps the movie from being a bore. What's also amazing is the relationship between animal and man portrayed. It's truly wonderful.

Biggest props goes to two: Spielberg, the director, and the titular horse, Joey. This is definitely a must-watch for the Oscar-appreciating crowd.
